The stunning scenery of Amalfi Coastline is characterized by small seaside towns, many perched on cliffs plunging straight down into the deep blue sea. Before the mid-19th century, the only way to move along the coast was via the steep climbs from town to town, on foot or with the help of donkeys, then it was built a road that linked all the villages. Since then every turn along the Amalfi Coast road is like a postcard, offering perfect scenes of lemon trees and terraced vineyards, bougainvillea and olive groves, all dotted with quaint peaceful villages on the blue backdrop of the Mediterranean.
